Today AHM went to the National Galleries in Edinburgh where Tim Marlow chaired a lively discussion with Douglas Hall (1961-1986), Richard Calvocoressi (1986-2007) and Simon Groom (2007-to present).

Last week Sam and Sandy took a trip to the Borders to visit Douglas Hall and Matilda Mitchell.

Douglas Hall was the 1st Keeper of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. He single-handedly built up a collection of 20th Century art in Scotland on a very minimal budget.
