Sandy's Alisdair Gray portrait has been unveiled
Democratic Left Scotland commissioned Sandy to create the first major portrait of Alasdair Gray at Oran Mor, Glasgow.
Gray, a writer and painter, famously wrote Lanark, and painted the ceiling murals in the main hall of Oran Mor.
This is not the first portrait painted by Sandy; he has previously painted portraits of Dame Muriel Spark and Iain Hamilton Finlay amongst others.
