Call for one-minute artist manifestos : AHM symposium 3 - DEADLINE END OF DAY TOMORROW - WEDNESDAY 24 AUGUST 2011
The third and final State of Play: Art and Culture in Scotland Today Symposium developed by AHM (Sam Ainsley, David Harding and Sandy Moffat) will take place on Saturday 01 October 2011 at Dundee Contemporary Arts, funded by The Hope Scott Trust. The keynote address will be delivered by Gerry Hassan, a leading writer and critic on culture and politics. Presentations will be given by Jenny Brownrigg Exhibition Director The Glasgow School of Art, artist Ross Sinclair and Jean Urquhart MSP.
Following its success at the first two symposia, a key element of the day will be the spoken delivery of one-minute artist manifestos. Artists will have the opportunity to give voice to their concerns and ambitions about where they feel visual art stands today and what the future might hold. Video examples of the previous artist manifestos are available at http://theahmblog.blogspot.com/
If you would like to participate please submit a text for a one-minute, spoken, personal manifesto or for further information please email: ahmglasgow@googlemail.com
Deadline: Wednesday, 24 August 2011
We very much look forward to hearing from you and to your participating in what has been a hugely successful part of the symposia, much appreciated and commented on by the audiences attending.
